Constance Audren joined MSN Europe in London last January. Constance is in charge of
implementing the new search and directories sites in various European
countries, ie (north to south) Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark,
Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain + some
bits of Latin America (Mexico, Brasil).
Her responsibility is to ensure that both search databases (ie various
directories + real names in some countries) and any possible editorial
enhancement of the search engine match the needs of each local market in
term of size and relevancy. She is also in charge of organising outsourced /
insourced solutions to meet these requirements and deliver a ready to run
service to MSN Europe subsidiaries.
This is a newly created position, that goes beyond localisation and product
developement and that cannot be efficiently performed from Seattle for
cultural and linguistic reasons.
Before MSN Europe, Constance spent more than 3 years with AOL France, which she joined
in 1996 when the service was launched. It was quite a small team there, so Constance
got the chance to do content ("channels") management, project management and
strategic planning.
Constance started her career as media researcher / media planner with Mc Cann
Erickson in Paris.
Constance is French by birth and education, but graduated from several European universities (including
Munich, EBS London and French business school EDHEC)
