Joshua Stylman

Joshua Stylman has been immersed in building and diversifying revenue streams for companies in Internet Economy companies since 1994.

Prior to co-founding Reprise Media, Stylman served as vice president of business development and syndication at Ask Jeeves, a leading provider of natural language question answering and advanced search technologies. His group was responsible for extending and augmenting Ask Jeeves' revenue streams through the development of partnerships with best-of-breed technology and content partners. The company began its extremely successful foray into the pay-for-placement market under Stylman's leadership; that market currently represents the vast majority of Jeeves' revenues. Stylman also oversaw Ask Jeeves' Syndication business, distributing their search technologies and monetization tools to other websites including MSN, About.com and Lycos.

Stylman initially joined Ask Jeeves in April 1999 as the company's vice president of strategic partnerships. He led the initiative that moved the company's flagship website, Ask.com, away from traditional banner ads and toward a more integrated approach to advertising. Those programs, which catered to clients such as Expedia, Ford and Britannica, were a key driver in his division's growth from $12MM in 1999 to $63MM in 2000.

Prior to working at Ask Jeeves, Stylman was co-founder and president of Rotomedia, Inc., a boutique consulting and advertising representation firm for web marketers and publishers. Rotomedia's clients included such companies as America Online, Disney and General Motors. The company was acquired by Ask Jeeves in April 1999.
