Growing Interest in Search Industry Fuels Explosive Growth in Participation in Search Engine Watch Forums

New York, NY - March 22, 2007 - One of the search industry's leading voices, Search Engine Watch ( http://www.SearchEngineWatch.com), part of the ClickZ Network (http://www.ClickZ.com), today announced that more than 15,000 members have joined its Search Engine Watch (SEW) forum since launching less than three years ago. As a venue for engaging, thoughtful discussion and a social networking platform for the search industry, Incisive Media's Search Engine Watch forum has achieved immense popularity -- resulting in over 100,000 posts and nearly 15,000 discussion threads. While the web site is currently celebrating its 10th year anniversary, the forums were launched only three years ago - highlighting the explosive growth of this industry.

"Search Engine Watch is an established source of news and information for the search industry, yet we were a late entrant to add a community component to our site," said Search Engine Watch Editor Elisabeth Osmeloski. "We invested time in creating a forum environment that was inviting and highly instructive to new members. Our commitment to information quality and fostering a professional level of discussion has enabled us to develop a thriving community that supports our site and related conferences."

The SEW forum has become one of the most sought after sources for the latest knowledge about Internet search engines and search engine submissions. Search engine professionals and marketers seek out and share advice among the SEW forum community on topics ranging from Google, Yahoo!, MSN Search, Ask.com and other search engines, to how to design a successful search engine marketing (SEM) strategy, to what's new in search tools and techniques. A Members' Lounge allows those who want to go "off topic" to gain honest feedback from members about new search engine technology, to post requests for SEM help, and more.

"The SEW forums offer a community for all levels of web users," said Frank Watson, the Director of Search Marketing at Forex Capital Markets and an SEW Forum Moderator. "It reflects the friendly nature of our industry - people can get help from experienced search marketers like no where else online. We can be serious when we have to be, happy-go-lucky on other occasions and everywhere in between. I have made friends through the forum that I hope to keep for the rest of my life."
