Tony Philipp is CEO and Co–Founder of UpSnap, the leader in mobile search and live mobile audio entertainment. Leveraging his experience in the online search industry, Mr. Philipp has been at the forefront of the development of search and SMS–based content delivery in the mobile space. UpSNAP is now the leading player in mobile search and live entertainment with a broad menu of free and premium branded content that can be delivered via SMS and VoIP to all U.S. mobile phones.

Previously, Mr. Philipp has successfully grown several Internet companies to significant revenues including Lycos Europe, Vivisimo and Magellan. He is the former chief operating officer of Lycos Europe (IPO 2000 $5 billion) and has also served as advisor or board member to Mobileway, Mobile Commerce, and Motricity and has been responsible for strategic partnerships with Overture/Yahoo, Lycos, MSN, Looksmart, Ebay, Infospace, AOL, Findwhat, Bertelsmann, and Grolier. Tony is currently a member of the Independent Directors Program of 3i plc, as well as a former Partner with the Tristate Investment Group.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University, a master of International Business (MBA) from the University of South Carolina, and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Cologne (Germany ).
