Robert Friedman is a partner in the firm's New York office and a former prosecutor. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property, trade secrets and securities litigation. His clients range include global software developers, networking companies, internet marketers, banks and startup companies. He also handles internal investigations, restrictive covenants, bankruptcy litigation and regulatory investigations. Recently, Mr. Friedman defended a Fortune 500 software company in a federal jury trial involving copyright infringement and unfair competition claims. The case was settled favorably during cross-examination of the plaintiff's second witness. Rob has published several articles on issues involving the Internet and e-commerce. He has also been widely quoted in the media on legal issues, including in Thomson Reuters, CNNMoney.com, Forbes.com, Reuters India, Financial Services Law 360, Richmond Times, New York Law Journal, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, Wall Street Journal, and Fortune International.
