Othar Hansson is a software engineer in Google's Experimental Happiness team.
Prior to Google, Othar consulted with start-ups and research groups at
HRI and Thinkbank, Inc. (now Bitway). Earlier in his career, Othar
was a managing director at WR Hambrecht & Co, where he was a
co-inventor of OpenIPO and other securities auctions.
He has a bachelor's degree from Columbia, a master's from UCLA, and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, all in computer science.
