Prior to MediaTrust, Mr. Bordes spent much of his career in banking and venture capital and was a founder of Mason Cabot investment bank, which specialized in early stage media and technology financing. Mr. Bordes was also a founder and chairman of the board of Empire Media, Inc., a publishing, marketing, and technology enterprise based in New York. Empire Media incubated and founded Find.com - the first "True Business Search" engine, and Advaliant, an online performance marketing advertising network. He is also a Founding Charter Member of the PMA Performance Marketing Alliance Association and is the head of the PMA membership committee.

Currently Mr. Bordes is an investor and serves on the boards of or is an advisor to a number of traditional, new media, and technology companies, such as Widemile, a multivariant optimization technology platform, Northstar Software, an enterprise asset management software solution; and jiwire, an online hotspot directory & wifi ad network.
