In 1999, noting that the Internet was a growing industry; Patrick Tapp joined the ranks of Quebecor for the launch of the Canoë Network. For nearly seven years, Mr. Tapp worked with the sales group as an Account Manager and today leads the search products team as Director of Search Products and Canoë Klix. The Canoe Search products team is responsible for driving the business performance of all of Canoe's pay per click products, including Search, Shopping and Auctions. In 2006 Canoe launched Canoe Klix, the premiere Canadian-based pay per click advertising vehicle.
As Vice president, Editors, of the Quebec Council of the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada, he collaborated in recent years on compiling the necessary standards for regulating online ad sizes -- standards that are commonly used by most Canadian online publishers today.
