Iain Wilson
Director of Business Development
Yahoo! Canada and Yahoo! Search Marketing

Iain has been with the Yahoo! Group for 4 years. He initially worked out of the European Headquarters in London, England, starting as European Business Development Manager at AltaVista managing all EU partner relationships. Upon the purchase of Overture by Yahoo! he was assigned to work on Pan European/International Business Development and partnership acquisitions for Overture. Throughout the past 4 years he took on various additional business development roles such as: managing the migration of all European partners from the various search platforms of Inktomi, All the Web and AltaVista to the new YSM search platform. Iain worked with International and US Business Development teams to develop an International deal process and allow global partners a seamless opportunity to work with YSM on a global level. Iain has been involved in additional International projects for both YSM and Yahoo! in Europe and the US. In September 2006, Iain moved back to Canada, to be Director of Search and Partnerships and to help launch YSM in Canada.

Most recently he was promoted to the role of Director- Business Development for both Yahoo! Canada and Yahoo! Search Marketing.

Before joining Yahoo! Europe, Iain spent time in London England with the Financial Times group and FT.com, as Head of Syndication and Content sales for EMEA and The Economist Group, as Electronic Business Development Manager, with global responsibility. Prior to these roles he had various management positions in magazine publishing, also based in London.
