SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) is a non-profit association made up of hundreds of members worldwide, largely search engine marketing corporations and professionals. SEMPO's mission is to increase awareness and promote the value of search engine marketing to businesses worldwide.

The organization is sponsored by several companies in the search engine advertising world, including: Overture, Verizon SuperPages, Google, JupiterMedia, and atlas OnePoint.

SEMPO is committed to providing current, relevant SEM (Search Engine Marketing) information to the marketing community, primarily through the SEMPO website (www.SEMPO.org) and informational meetings worldwide. SEMPO.org is a comprehensive resource for industry research and articles written specifically to educate online business managers and marketers on the value of SEM. The organization provides many benefits to members and their clients and potential clients including case studies, requests for SEM services from the public, and a place to post open positions within their company.

Currently, SEMPO is expanding globally with representation throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, and Latin America.
