Jared Blank joined Tommy Hilfiger in early 2004 as part of a team hired to build and launch an e-commerce website for the $2 billion retailer. In this role, Blank has led marketing efforts for the site, including website design, functionality, analytics, and customer acquisition strategies while balancing the company's long-term relationships with traditional offline distribution channels.
Prior to joining Tommy Hilfiger, Blank was the Senior Travel Analyst at Jupiter Research where he studied how consumers purchase leisure and business travel online and how travel suppliers can use the Internet as part of a successful marketing strategy. In this position, he also consulted with airlines, hotels, and travel agencies about changes in travel distribution and technology. In addition, he has written extensively about best practices in e-mail marketing for companies in multiple industries. Blank began working with Jupiter Research in 2000.
Blank joined Jupiter from Deloitte Consulting in Cleveland where he was a Senior Consultant. In this role, he provided management consulting services to manufacturing and retail firms, focusing on supply chain management and strategic marketing.
Blank has been quoted widely in the business and popular press, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNBC and NPR. He also runs OnlineTravelReview.com, a website analyzing the news of the airline industry.
Blank earned his M.B.A. in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and his B.A. in English from the University of Michigan.
